The Autobots look gloomily at one another. They are deep within the mountain. There seems to be no way to get to the surface. The Autobots are unable to move - and the humans are too small and weak.
"Maybe I can help," says Beachcomber. "I'm pretty weak, but I need less fuel than you big guys. And my geological functions are still working. If I can get away from the disrupter, I ... I ... could reach the surface."
"You're too weak!" gasps Ratchet. "It would be suicide!"
"Besides," says Ironhide, "we must keep the Sun-Pak here. We may be able to bargain with it."
The buzzing of the Insecticons grows louder. Obviously more Insecticons are coming. Optimus Prime must make a decision now. Megatron and his forces must be on their way. The Autobots are too weak to fight. But Beachcomber may not be able to charge the Sun-Pak in time. The only other hope is to somehow make a deal with the Insecticons. What should Optimus Prime do?
